Practicing yoga and meditation in nature is a unique experience where we realise what an inseparable part of nature we all are. United with the surrounding, we get in touch with the inner silence that is always there behind the noise produced by the mind. Such intense internal experiences deepen our yoga practice, our meditation capacity, and improve our way of looking at life.
Additionally, at yoga retreats we discuss and practice Yamas and Niyamas trying to apply them in daily life. These are a part of the greatest classical text from the yoga school of Indian philosophy called the Yoga Sutras by Patanjali, written somewhere between the second century BC and 500. The practitioners of yoga immersed in the yogic way of living have these principles as guidance. We observe the mind's tendencies, the patterns of behaviour and we work with our mind and ego one step at the time, gradually growing and evolving.
